SHADOW TWIN LIMITED GOING FAST
September 7, 2005
Subterranean Press has informed me that fewer than thirty copies of their deluxe limited edition of SHADOW TWIN remain unsold, so collectors hoping to add this one to their shelves should act soon. The book is done and at the printers, and Subterranean expects to be shipping copies within the week.
A three-way collaboration between myself, Gardner Dozois, and Daniel Abraham, SHADOW TWIN is a science fiction novella almost thirty years in the making. Gardner began it in the 70s, I took it over in the 80s, and Daniel came along and finished it in the 00s. It appeared online in SCIFICTION last spring, and more recently in ASIMOV’s… but this new edition will be special.
Subterranean is publishing the novella in two states: a signed, numbered hardcover, limited to 500 copies and retailing at $40, and a super-deluxe leatherbound traycase version of 26 lettered copies. Both versions feature a foreword by the three authors (no Three Stooges jokes please, we prefer to think of ourselves as the Marx Brothers of Sci-Fi), along with a stunning cover and interior illustrations by Michael Komarck.
