Stark Sisters, With Claws

Stark Sisters, With Claws
From Charlotte, North Carolina comes an email from Stephen, who says, "Being recently married, the first task I put myself to in improving my wife was to finally get her to read your books (which she refused to do when we were dating). Of course, she was hooked from the start and now has become a dedicated fan. We decided to get cats and rescued these cute kittens from the Humane Society. We decided that their names had to come from your books. We decided on Arya and Sansa, being that they are sisters but at first the black was Arya and the calico was Sansa. Within a day we realized we had made a tragic mistake in perceiving their personalities and quickly reversed their names. So now we have Arya and Sansa who fit their names more everyday. They like to fight a lot but at the end of the day we usually find them curled up together. We hope that they won't live up to their namesakes but becoming estranged as they grow older."

Thanks, Stephen. Yes, you do have be careful with an Arya and a Sansa in the same castle. I'm glad to hear that you were able to convert your wife... although, if she refused to read the books while you were dating, I'm surprised you got as far as marriage!

May your winters be short, your summers bright.
